product rule

In calculus, the product rule is a formula for finding the derivative of a product of two or more functions. In Lagrange notation, it says that:

    \[(f \cdot g)' = f' \cdot g + f \cdot g'\]

Written in Leibniz notation, this is:

    \[\frac{d}{dx}(f \cdot g) = \frac{d}{dx}f \cdot g + f \cdot \frac{d}{dx}g\]
